IBM is leading innovation in scaleable, trainable, and broad-use technologies for understanding natural language. These technologies are critical to the challenges facing organizations with the increasing volume of unstructured text data. 80% of the world's data is unstructured and the amount of textual data is growing. We will present tools to automatically mine and analyze these textual sources, in English or foreign languages, in email, public comments in Web forums, documents, and social media. In addition to introducing the audience to technologies such as text analytics, trainable multi-lingual automated translation, and information extraction, we will show demonstrations of these technologies.
